Refunds
Refunds for Academic-Credit Classes
- 100% refund if course is cancelled by college
 - 100% refund if student drops course during refund period
 - 0% refund if student drops after refund period (withdrawal – W grade)
 
Macomb Day 1 Access Fee Refund
- Student must opt out before end of class refund period
 - Credits will be posted 1-2 weeks after refund period per class
 - Physical items received must be returned in original condition to the bookstore before end of class refund period or student will be charged for the cost of replacement

How & When Refunds Are Processed
- Tuition refunds are processed weekly, excluding holidays.
 - Financial aid refunds are processed 3-4 weeks after the start of each course but may differ due to schedule and award requirements. See Financial Aid for more information.
 - Payments made with a credit/debit card are refunded (excluding Nelnet plan payments) first.
 - Refunds for students who paid by e-check will be held 14 days from the date payment is received.
 - Nelnet plan payments and remaining refunds are refunded to your selected refund preference. Our school delivers your refund with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. Visit this link for more information: .

To avoid refund delays, a preference should be selected once you receive your Refund Selection Kit along with your Macomb OneCard.
Refunds for Workforce & Continuing Education Classes
Workforce & Continuing Education Refund Policy
- 100% refund if class is cancelled by college
 - 100% refund if student drops prior to the class start date
 - For self-guided classes, the date of registration is the start date of the class
 - 0% refund if student drops on or after class start date
 
Motorcycle Safety Refund Policy
- 100% refund if class is cancelled by college
 - No refund for any reason
 - No ability to transfer tuition payment to another class date and time after registering
 
How & When Refunds Are Processed
 
- Tuition refunds are processed weekly, excluding holidays
 - Payments made with a credit/debit card are refunded first
 - Other refunds are made by mailed check
 
Refunds for Other Fees
Fees assessed for selective admissions, equipment rental, fines, specialized testing, proctoring, credit for prior learning, etc. are non-refundable
